• Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Cambodia’s GDP has experienced a negativegrowth rate, dropping from 7.1 per cent in 2019 to -3.1 per cent in 2020 beforerising to 5.5 per cent in 2022.
• COVID-19 has put many sectors at risk, including construction, manufacturing,hotels, restaurants, transport, as well as storage and communications whichconsequently has caused a disproportionate impact on women’s jobs, incomeand well-being and an increase in women’s burden related to unpaid care work.The disruption of global supply chain resulting from Covid-19 has exacerbatedthe gender gap in entrepreneurship and has disproportionately impactedfemale-owned enterprises.
