Minority Groups, Land and Their Identity

Please take a look at the video produced by Ms. Cheng Meynean’s team, which was selected as the second winner of the 2024 video competition with the theme of “Human Rights in Cambodia”.

 

The video discusses the difficulties faced by indigenous peoples who are losing their identities as a result of land loss. In addition, this video also highlights the importance of land in preserving customs, cultures, and indigenous beliefs.

The video competition 2024 is a part of “Empowering, Engaging and Protecting Human Rights Defenders (2EP-HRD)” and was organized by Transparency International Cambodia, with the financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Cambodia), the European Union (European Union in Cambodia), and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Embassy of Sweden Section Office in Phnom Penh).
